Organizations
Manage organizations, invite team members, and configure billing in SecretStash.
Organizations are the top-level containers in SecretStash. They group your applications and team members together, enabling collaborative secrets management across your team.
Viewing Organizations
Navigate to the Organizations page from the sidebar to see all organizations you belong to. Each organization card shows:
- Organization name and an "Owner" badge if you own it.
- Member count and member list.
- Plan name and trial status (if applicable).
Creating an Organization
Open the create dialog
Click the New organization button on the Organizations page.
Enter a name
Provide a name for your organization (e.g., "Acme Inc").
Submit
Click Create to add the organization.
Managing an Organization
If you are the organization owner, click Manage to access the organization settings page. From here you can:
Update Name
Change the organization's display name using the form at the top of the settings page.
Invite Members
Send email invitations to add new team members to your organization.
Enter an email address
In the "Invite member" section, enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
Send the invitation
Click Send invitation. The recipient will receive an email with a link to accept the invitation.
Inviting members is subject to your subscription plan's user limits. If you have reached your limit, you will be prompted to upgrade.
Pending Invitations
Pending invitations are displayed below the invite form. You can:
- Resend — resend the invitation email.
- Delete — revoke a pending invitation.
Manage Members
The members table lists all current users in the organization. As the owner, you can Remove any member (except yourself). Removed members immediately lose access to the organization's applications and variables.
Billing
The billing section displays your current subscription plan. Click Manage subscription to open the billing portal where you can upgrade, downgrade, or manage your payment information.
Switching Organizations
If you belong to multiple organizations, use the organization switcher in the sidebar to change your active organization. This updates the dashboard and all application views to reflect the selected organization.
Leaving an Organization
If you are not the owner, you can leave an organization by clicking the Leave button on the Organizations page. You will be asked to confirm before being removed.
Leaving an organization is immediate and you will lose access to all of its applications and variables.
Deleting an Organization
Organization owners can delete an organization from the settings page.
Deleting an organization permanently removes all of its applications, environments, variables, and invitations. This action cannot be undone. You must own at least one organization, so you will need to create another before deleting your last one.
